The 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami was a terrible tragedy for everyone involved. My husband went on a mission trip 2 weeks after the occurrence of this and helped in a few hospitals and clinics. We then went back together a year later to offer more assistance and to document the effects of the tsunami. The Thai people are a resilient bunch and the country was putting itself back together slowly with help from all over the world. This photograph is one from this series. A boatyard in Nam Khem with donated lumber from neighboring Laos. Matted and framed in a black satin metal frame.
